S.U.C.C.E.S.S. is pleased to announce our new Vision and Mission!

S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Evergreen News is a Chinese monthly publication published by S.U.C.C.E.S.S., one of the largest social service providers in Canada. The Evergreen News publication plays a vital role in bridging the cultural gap and enriching the Chinese immigrants’ understanding of Canadian society.

Our mission is to help Chinese immigrants overcome language and cultural barriers and social challenges as they settle in Canada. To support bridging cultures, Evergreen News publishes information covering a broad range of topics from new immigrants’ orientation to local issues, Canadian living and culture, health and well-being with short story columns. The Evergreen News publication has evolved over many years into a community “labor of love” project with volunteers involving writing, editing, proofreading, marketing, distribution and fundraising.

Since its inception in October 1985, the Evergreen News has been a community newspaper involving volunteers with writing, editing, proofreading, marketing, distribution, and fundraising. In 2015, Evergreen News rejuvenated the publication with a new Chinese title, following with the launching of an eBook edition in 2017 and a WeChat channel in March 2020. Our objective is to broaden the readership profile in line with the rapid changing immigrant demographic.
