S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Walk with the Dragon Raises $496,000 to Support Community Needs

The 41st annual S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Walk with the Dragon, held on July 19 in Stanley Park, raised more than $496,000 to support our community programs that strengthen individuals, families and communities. With this year’s theme, “Stride for Every Generation,” the fundraising walkathon brought together participants of all ages to build a stronger community.

“We are incredibly grateful that more than 3000 community members joined us for this year’s Walk with the Dragon. Every participant, volunteer, sponsor and donor plays an important role in helping us continue delivering programs and services that support communities,” said S.U.C.C.E.S.S. CEO Queenie Choo.

The event is led by the longest dragon in North America – the 100-foot long S.U.C.C.E.S.S. dragon is carried by 40 martial artists who lead walkers to participate in the 3 km or 7 km routes through the park. Following the walk, our family-friendly fairgrounds are open to the public, featuring multicultural performances, carnival activities and prize draws.

“At a time when many individuals and families are feeling the pressure of rising living costs, the generosity of our donors and supporters is more important than ever. Every dollar raised through Walk with the Dragon helps S.U.C.C.E.S.S. continue providing programs and services that support newcomers, seniors, youth and families when they need them most,” said Foundation Board Chair Brandon Hui.

Co-chairs of 2026 Walk with the Dragon Bill Bai, Irene Hsu and Kevin Ma thanked all participants for making the event a success. Every step taken supports our mission of standing beside individuals and families at every stage of life.

Walk with the Dragon is S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation’s largest community-based fundraising event. It historically draws several thousand participants and is held in Stanley Park since 1986.
