Testimonial from S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Youth Leadership Millennium alumni
Gordon Lin, a Bronze and Silver graduate
“Through Toastmasters and group projects, I was able to improve my communication skills, and the adventure expedition really allowed me to see my own potential and to recognize my limits, both physically and mentally.”
Jessica Yeung, YLM alumnae and former Co-Chair of YLM Council
“In the course of seven short months, I went from being a shy girl who dreaded the thought of exercising, to somebody that wasn’t afraid to speak in front of crowds or to trek up a mountain with a 30-pound backpack. Along the way, I met many new friends and tried many new things. It was my mom who encouraged me to join the program, but the unforgettable experiences I had were what made me want to continue my contribution as a volunteer even after the program ended.”
Karie Lee, the mother of 2 Bronze graduates
“This program effectively stimulates youths’ personal potential to constructively contribute to society. I was amazed to see my two children develop their problem solving skills, independence and professionalism in merely seven months. YLM offers a unique and rewarding experience that I really think would be difficult to find elsewhere.”
