S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Celebrates its 46th Anniversary with Board of Directors Renewals and New Members
Vancouver, BC – S.U.C.C.E.S.S., one of the largest social services agencies in Canada, celebrated its 46th anniversary on September 29, 2019 at its Annual General Meeting (AGM), where Terry Yung was re-elected as Board Chair, and welcomed two new members to the Board of Directors: Jim O’Dea and Doug Purdie.
“S.U.C.C.E.S.S has gained a reputation for its innovation, resilience and relevance across Canadian society. I am particularly proud of our commitment to diversity and inclusion that is embedded across our service delivery. I’m honored to be re-elected as Chair and look forward to working with a talented and committed Board as well as our staff and volunteers.” said Terry Yung. “This year, our focus will be expanding our efforts in affordable housing, our seniors care services to support this rapidly growing demographic, and our employment services,” Yung further stated.

Through the dedicated contributions of staff, volunteers, community partners and funders, S.U.C.C.E.S.S. enjoyed significant accomplishments throughout 2018-19 in its core service areas of Immigrant services, Seniors Care and Affordable Housing. The agency served more than 65,000 clients and provided well over 156,000 client services through service centers across the Lower Mainland, Fort St. John, Toronto and three overseas offices in Beijing and Guangzhou, China; as well as Seoul, South Korea.
