Renowned performer Joyce Cheng to headline 2019 Bridge to S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Gala
March 15, 2019 – Vancouver, BC –The 41st annual Bridge to S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Gala will take place tomorrow at The Westin Bayshore, Vancouver. The goal is to raise $500,000 for S.U.C.C.E.S.S., with a focus on early childhood education and youth leadership services.
“The Bridge to S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Gala is an opportunity for the entire S.U.C.C.E.S.S. family to come together and celebrate our achievements,” said Queenie Choo, CEO of S.U.C.C.E.S.S. and S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation. “Importantly, proceeds from the gala will help to maintain the variety of services we provide, and ensure we can continue to offer important community programs that receive partial or no government funding.”
At today’s news conference, the gala’s feature performer – Vancouver born-and-raised actress and singer Joyce Cheng – shared her excitement about returning to her hometown from Hong Kong to support S.U.C.C.E.S.S.
“I’m thrilled to be the special performer for the 2019 Bridge to S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Gala,” said Joyce Cheng. “It’s lovely to come back to Vancouver. Thank you to S.U.C.C.E.S.S. for doing such an amazing job at helping children, youth and families in the community.”
Joyce will be performing for the hundreds of community leaders, politicians, donors and corporate sponsors who are expected at the gala tomorrow evening.
