Vancouver, BC – S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation is excited to announce that Linda Chung, a popular Asian TV actress and singer from BC, will be the special performer to 2017 Bridge to S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Gala along with award-winning pianist Avan Yu as guest performer.

Born in Maple Ridge and raised in Vancouver, Linda Chung joined Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB), Hong Kong, after winning the 2004 Miss Chinese International. Since then, she has starred in several popular TV series, most notably Forensic Heroes, Heart of Greed, Moonlight Resonance and A Journey Called Life.
Hong Kong – born Avan Yu is one of Canada’s most exciting young pianists. At the age of fourteen, he made his debut with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. He won the Canadian Chopin Competition at the age of seventeen and remains to be the competition’s youngest ever winner. In 2012, Avan triumphed at the Sydney International Piano Competition, winning first prize along with nine special awards. He is awarded one of the 2016 RBC Top 25 Canadian Immigrants.
As one of Vancouver’s premier charity events, 2017 Bridge to S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Gala will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at the Grand Ballroom of The Westin Bayshore, Vancouver. Hosted by S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation, the event aims to raise $500,000 for the maintenance, enhancement and development of timely and appropriate social services at S.U.C.C.E.S.S. that receive no or limited government funding, particularly senior and youth services.
