Astounding Performance by Asia’s Leading Singer Frances Yip

Astounding Performance by Asia’s Leading Singer Frances Yip  

Vancouver, BC – Frances Yip staged two amazing performances in Metro Vancouver over the weekend for over 1,800 fans from Canada and the United States. She helped raised an amount of $200,000 enabling S.U.C.C.E.S.S. to continue to support important social services and programs that have partial or no government funding.
“Fundraising is an integral part of S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation’s mandate. Proceeds from events such as these two charity concerts can enhance S.U.C.C.E.S.S.’s ability to deliver the highest caliber of services to those otherwise would be underserved in Metro Vancouver,” said Sing Lim Yeo, Chair of S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation.
Frances Yip truly justifies the description of “international star” and has garnered a fan base the world over. Throughout both evenings, Frances Yip performed her greatest hits songs in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. With 47 years in the business behind her, there is still so much for Frances Yip to give to the arts and to her devoted followers.
The Foundation is also pleased to have Richard Yuen, a well-known music composer and producer, to be the Music Director of these concerts. He toured and performed in Ontario and Quebec in the 70s and 80s. He worked with people like Phil Ramone, John Harris, etc., and toured all over the world as Music Director and Band Leader for Hong Kong artists such as Alan Tam, George Lam, Arron Kwok, Leslie Cheung, Jacky Cheung, Sally Yeh, Priscilla Chan, Hacken Lee and the Wynners.
2017 Frances Yip S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Charity Concert Co-Chairs Walter Soo, Brandon Hui and Jeffrey Chan commended Frances for taking time out of her hectic schedule to headline her sixth charity concert for S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation and for her caring spirit to the Metro Vancouver communities. They also thanked Richard Yuen, concert sponsors, media friends and audience for their contributions in making these charity concerts a success.
