2022 Bridge to S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Gala raises $400,000 to fund community programs

April 25, 2022

Vancouver, B.C. – S.U.C.C.E.S.S. will be able to provide ongoing and enhanced programming thanks to the generous donations of more than $400,000 from community supporters who attended our 45th annual Bridge to S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Gala.

The annual fundraising event, held this year on April 23 at the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver Hotel, helps maintain our community social services and programs in the areas of immigration and settlement, affordable housing and seniors care.

“We are so honoured and uplifted by this outpouring of support from our community leaders and donors,” said Queenie Choo, CEO of S.U.C.C.E.S.S. and S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation. “Coming out of the challenges of the pandemic, these funds will help us sustain our unfunded and underfunded programs and allow us to better meet the growing needs in the community.”

This year’s Gala theme was “CommUNITY & Resilience,” honouring the way our communities have come together during the pandemic, which deepened poverty, isolation and health challenges among our clients.

Building upon the event’s 45-year legacy, the 2022 Bridge to S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Gala provided a luxurious night of philanthropy, entertainment and fine dining to the city’s business and community leaders, including cocktail reception, luxurious silent and live auctions, delicious West Coast cuisine and live performances.

“We’re very grateful for the generous support,” said Brandon Hui, Chair of S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation. “From local leaders, corporate sponsors and individual donors, to all three levels of government, it truly takes a community to make this event a success.”
