2021 S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Virtual Walk with the Dragon

Posted date: June 17, 2021

Vancouver, BC – S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation is pleased to announce that one of Metro Vancouver’s most iconic community fundraisers will return for its 36th year as a unique virtual experience.

The 2021 S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Virtual Walk with the Dragon event will take place from July 23 to July 25, 2021 at http://walk.successfoundation.ca. Like last year, it will continue as a virtual event to adhere to pandemic health and safety protocols.

“We are looking forward to this year’s Walk with the Dragon. Not only is it one of our flagship fundraising events, but the timing of this year’s Walk also represents a turning point in our long fight against the COVID-19 pandemic!”, said Brandon Hui, Chair of S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation. “Jeffrey Lee and Terry Liu, our Co-Chairs for this year’s event, along with the rest of the board and team at S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation have been hard at work to ensure that this will be another successful and rewarding event for all participants!”

With the theme of “Walk for Wellness”, this year’s event aims to raise $255,000 to support S.U.C.C.E.S.S. community programs and services that are unfunded or only partially funded by government.

“While many of us look forward to a post-pandemic future with optimism, we must not forget that there are still many people across our communities who continue to experience exclusion and marginalization”, said Queenie Choo, CEO of S.U.C.C.E.S.S. and S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation. “Financial support is urgently needed to ensure that we can continue to provide essential programs and services to foster the wellness of seniors, women, youth, and families. We hope that our donors and sponsors will continue to give generously through our Walk with the Dragon event.”

The 2021 Walk is an inclusive and family-friendly event. We extend a warm invitation to all communities to join us in this interactive virtual experience from July 23 to July 25, 2021. Visit our event website – http://walk.successfoundation.ca – for activities and a map of scenic walking routes across Metro Vancouver.
