2018 Maria Cordero S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Charity Concert

August 15, 2018 – Richmond, BC – S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation is excited to host Maria Cordero, affectionately known as “Fei Ma” by her fans and friends, as she performs two shows on August 17 and 18, at the River Rock Show Theatre for the 2018 Maria Cordero S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Charity Concert.
All proceeds from the concerts will go to support important social services and programs at S.U.C.C.E.S.S. that are unfunded or partially funded by the government, including programs that serve youth, women, families and seniors. S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation is aiming to raise $150,000 from the two concerts.
“We’re grateful to Maria Cordero for travelling all the way from Hong Kong to Vancouver and lending her time and talents to help raise funds for S.U.C.C.E.S.S.,” said Queenie Choo, CEO of S.U.C.C.E.S.S. and S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation. “Funds raised will help to support some of the most vulnerable members of our community.”
Maria Cordero began her singing career in 1985. Known for her powerful and versatile vocal style, Maria’s music transcends language and genre. In addition to being a talented singer, Maria Cordero is a popular television host, celebrity chef, entrepreneur and philanthropist.
Over the years, Maria has used her celebrity status to represent the underprivileged and support various causes, including the fight against kidney disease, Alzheimer’s disease and other social causes. She has performed previously for S.U.C.C.E.S.S. on a number of occasions.
“Maria’s performance at the Bridge to S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Gala in 2014 was marvellous and was the talk of the town here,” said Walter Soo, Jeffrey Chan and Cheryl Kwok, co-chairs of the 2018 Maria Cordero S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Charity Concert. “We’re excited that she has returned to support S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation again.”
A limited number of tickets are still available. Ticket prices are $68, $98, $138 and $198. Guests who purchase five $138 or $198 tickets will receive a sixth one for free.
