Tri-Cities Together is a coalition of community groups and organizations from a wide range of sectors that support diversity and inclusion initiatives within their mandates. The goals of the coalition are:

  • The Tri-Cities communities have an increased knowledge and understanding of what comprises racism and hate, and have established a supportive and collaborative response to incidents.
  • The Tri-Cities communities are ready to implement anti-racism protocols.
  • The Tri-Cities community members are aware of dialogues and anti-racism education opportunities.

Community Protocol

Developed collaboratively by Tri-Cities Together, the community protocol is a public document that acts as a mechanism for the quick assessment and responsive action towards critical incidents of discrimination or hate. It provides a step-by-step, easy to use guide to help community members and stakeholders react promptly and effectively when a discrimination or hate-motivated incident occurs. It also offers referrals to relevant resources and a list of key terms and their definitions.
