S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Walk with the Dragon celebration press conference June 20

Vancouver, BC – S.U.C.C.E.S.S. is excited to kick off summer with the launch of our Walk with the Dragon community event at Lumbermen’s Arch on Sunday, July 14. Media are invited to join Walk with the Dragon organizers at an advance press conference to learn more about this year’s sponsors and event.

Time: 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Location: S.U.C.C.E.S.S., Choi Hall, 28 West Pender St., Vancouver, BC
Speakers: S.U.C.C.E.S.S. CEO Queenie Choo, S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Board Chair Doug Purdie, S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation Board Chair Jason Lam, Walk with the Dragon Co-Chairs Irene Hsu and Charlie Huang.

Walk with the Dragon historically draws several thousand participants and is our largest community-based fundraising event, held in Stanley Park since 1986. Proceeds go directly to support essential S.U.C.C.E.S.S. programs for families, youth, women, and seniors.

The event is led by the longest Dragon in North America – the 100-foot long S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Dragon is carried by 40 martial artists who lead walkers and teams to participate in the three- or seven-kilometre routes through the park. Following the walk, our family-friendly fairgrounds are open to the public, featuring live music, entertainment, activities, giveaways, prizes, carnival games and photo booths.

由中僑基金會主辦的「中僑百萬行」是大溫地區最大型的多元文化社區籌款活動之一。這個歷史悠久的戶外籌款活動源於1986年，每年均吸引數以千計人仕到士丹利公園林柏文園參加。籌募善款以支援中僑的家庭、青年、婦女、及長者服務。

「中僑百萬行」當天將由40名武術家及主禮嘉賓率領100英尺長中僑金龍，與公眾出發完成七公里及三公里的慈善步行。除慈善步行外，林柏文園將設有中心舞台、攤位和各種遊戲項目提供的多元文化表演和歡樂活動。
