S.U.C.C.E.S.S. marks 50th Anniversary AGM with celebration of former CEO

Vancouver, B.C. – S.U.C.C.E.S.S. social services agency is celebrating its 50th Anniversary at our 2023 Annual General Meeting on Sunday, Sept. 24 with a special event. Prior to the AGM, we will be honouring the legacy of our longest-serving leader, former CEO Lilian To.

Time: 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. (Please arrive by 12:45 p.m.)

Location: Choi Hall, S.U.C.C.E.S.S., 28 West Pender St. Vancouver, B.C.

Lilian To, an immigrant from Hong Kong, was one of our longest-serving leaders. She first joined S.U.C.C.E.S.S. in 1974 when she was hired as a community worker by Founding Chair Maggie Ip. Lilian left for a few years, rejoined in 1988 and went on to lead S.U.C.C.E.S.S., tirelessly pursuing social justice for newcomers until she passed in 2005. The City of Vancouver has recognized her legacy with a street and park named in her honour. Please join us for presentations by people who knew and worked with Lilian, a tribute video and refreshments.
