S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Jackson Lam Adult Day Centre
Officially Opens in Richmond

Richmond, BC – Supporters, partners and donors celebrated the official grand opening of the S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Jackson Lam Adult Day Centre today. The centre is made possible by a generous $300,000 donation from Mrs. Ping Mah and the Lam family, following the selection of the S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Multi-Level Care Society (MLC) by Vancouver Coastal Health as the successful proponent to operate a new adult day program for seniors in Richmond in January 2017.
“We are thrilled to celebrate the opening of the S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Jackson Lam Adult Day Centre with so many of the people who helped to make it a reality,” said Queenie Choo, CEO of S.U.C.C.E.S.S. “The 25 spaces available at this centre will help to enrich the lives of seniors in Richmond, helping them to stay active and connected to the community. I would like to thank Vancouver Coastal Health for its strong support and our donors Mrs. Ping Mah and the Lam family for their generosity.”
“My family and I are really thrilled with the official opening of the S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Jackson Lam Adult Day Centre, as a lot of seniors and their families can benefit from the services and support of this program,” said Ping Mah, daughter of Jackson Lam.
The S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Jackson Lam Adult Day Centre is co-located on the site of Austin Harris Residence, one of the assisted living programs under the auspices of MLC. The centre can accommodate 25 seniors per day, Monday to Friday, and began to receive clients on June 12, 2017.
Adult day programs are designed for older adults who may have complex physical and/or cognitive challenges or are living with chronic illnesses. The S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Jackson Lam Adult Day Centre is dedicated to providing quality day health services to seniors through integrated programs, and bridging seniors with the community. The program plays a key role in allowing clients to continue living at home as long as possible, optimizing their physical, psycho-social and emotional functioning, and lowering their rate of hospitalization.
