Momentum is Building for the 2019 S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Walk with the Dragon at Concord Pacific Place

July 10, 2019 – Vancouver, BC – With thousands already signed up and performers perfecting their routines, preparations for the 2019 S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Walk with the Dragon at Concord Pacific Place are well underway.

Over 100 teams and thousands of participants will be following the 100-foot long S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Dragon on a scenic stroll along False Creek on Sunday, July 21. In addition to the Walk, family-friendly festivities will run from 8:30 am-12:30 pm and will feature many exciting performances, interactive booths, an RBC Kids Zone and much more.

This year’s fundraising goal is $380,000 which will go towards supporting essential S.U.C.C.E.S.S. programs and services that receive little or no funding from the government, including programs benefitting seniors, women, youth and families.

“For the past 33 years, the Walk has proudly raised over $10 million in total,” said event co-chairs Chris Chan and Terry Liu. “As co-chairs for 2019 with Jim O’Dea, we are excited to be involved in this annual community-building event.”

“With the Walk quickly approaching, we are thrilled to already see such tremendous support from our participants and corporate partners,” said Queenie Choo, CEO of S.U.C.C.E.S.S. and S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation. “We look forward to seeing everyone in community come together on July 21!”
