Children and Youth in Focus at the 2019 Bridge to S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Gala

February 7, 2019 – Vancouver, BC – Early childhood education and youth leadership will be the primary benefactors of the 2019 Bridge to S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Gala to be held on March 16 at The Westin Bayshore Hotel in Vancouver. Building upon the event’s 40-year legacy, the 2019 Bridge to S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Gala will provide a night of philanthropy, entertainment and fine dining to over 800 community and business leaders. The fundraising goal for the event is $500,000.
“We are proud to host the Bridge to S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Gala once again and continue the tradition of offering an inspiring evening for many in the community,” said Queenie Choo, CEO of S.U.C.C.E.S.S. and S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation. “Over $15 million has been raised from the gala in previous years, which provided much-needed support for a variety of S.U.C.C.E.S.S. programs and services that receive partial or no government funding.”
With the focus on children and youth, this year’s gala will be a whimsical and energetic celebration with a look towards the future while being deferential to S.U.C.C.E.S.S.’s well-established history of community building.
“S.U.C.C.E.S.S. has been and will continue to be vital in the Canadian experience for many children and youth in BC,” said Brandon Hui, Chair of S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation. “The 2019 Bridge to S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Gala will commemorate the good work that S.U.C.C.E.S.S. does on a daily basis. Festivities at the gala will include a cocktail reception, exciting silent and live auctions, and a West-Coast-inspired banquet. The evening will be capped off by a performance by Hong Kong actress and singer, Joyce Cheng. Joyce’s mother, Lydia Shum, was a beloved Hong Kong entertainer and a longtime supporter of S.U.C.C.E.S.S., and we are delighted to have Joyce continue her mother’s legacy.”
Gala tickets are available now by calling 604-408-7228 or visiting www.successfoundation.ca.
