2025 Bridge to S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Gala raises $570,000 to fund community programs

Vancouver, B.C. – S.U.C.C.E.S.S. will be able to provide ongoing and enhanced programming thanks to generous donations of more than $570,000 from community members who attended our 2025 Bridge to S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Gala.

The 48^th annual fundraising event, held this year on March 1 at Vancouver’s Westin Bayshore Hotel, helps fund S.U.C.C.E.S.S. programs that receive no funding or partial funding from the government, such as our counselling services, our multilingual Help Lines and our community programs for seniors.

“For more than 50 years, S.U.C.C.E.S.S. has been all about helping people in need in our community. It is so affirming for us to see on nights like this how the community also comes together to help us,” said Queenie Choo, CEO of S.U.C.C.E.S.S. and S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation. “Because of your generosity, we’re able to serve more than 80,000 clients each year, providing them with settlement services, affordable housing, seniors care and community programs to ensure they thrive on their Canadian journeys.”

S.U.C.C.E.S.S. is grateful to all of our donors who made this possible. In particular we would like to thank our longtime patron, Kelly Ip for donating $50,000 in honour of our agency co-founder, Maggie Ip, and for creating a special matching fund which brought the final contribution in her name to more than $574,000

The Gala, with its Aquatic Wonderland theme, provided a luxurious night of philanthropy, live entertainment and fine dining to the city’s business and community leaders, including performances from Hong Kong singer Kayee Tam, a cocktail reception, silent and live auctions and raffles.

“Our services make a real difference in people’s lives – whether we are helping a newcomer prepare a resume, a youth apply to go back to college, a family to access affordable health care or a senior to access healthy activities,” said Foundation Board Chair Jason Lam. “We are so grateful for the vision and support of all of our S.U.C.C.E.S.S. donors, event sponsors, volunteers and board members who continue to ensure we are there for our clients.”

這是第48屆中僑新輝夜籌款活動，今年於3月1日在溫哥華Westin Bayshore Hotel舉行，這些善款有助於資助中僑互助會的社區計劃，有部分計劃未獲得或只獲得部分政府資助，例如我們的輔導服務、心理熱線以及服務長者的社區計劃。

「50 多年來，中僑互助會一直致力於幫助社區中需要幫助的人。在這樣的夜晚看到社區團結起來幫助我們，這對我們來說是一次很大的鼓勵，」中僑互助會及中僑基金會行政總裁 周潘坤玲女士說。 「因為您的慷慨，我們每年能夠為超過 80,000 名客戶提供服務，為他們提供移民安頓服務、可負擔房屋、長者服務和社區計劃，以確保他們在加拿大的旅程中茁壯成長。」

中僑感謝所有協助實現我們目標的善長。我們特別要感謝長期支持者葉承基先生，以中僑聯合創始人葉吳美琪女士的名義捐贈了 50,000元，作為配對善款，因她的名義最終籌得超過 $574,000 的善款。

這次以「水中仙境」為主題的晚宴為現場參與的慈善家、商界和社區領袖提供了一個華麗的晚宴，包括香港歌手譚嘉儀的表演、雞尾酒招待、無聲和現場拍賣以及抽獎活動。

「我們的服務確實改變了人們的生活——無論是幫助新移民準備簡歷、幫助年輕人申請重返大學、幫助家庭獲得負擔得起的醫療保健，還是幫助長者參與活動。」中僑基金會主席林頌恩先生表示。 「我們非常感謝所有 中僑互助會的善長、贊助商、義工和董事會成員的遠見和支持，確保我們可為客戶繼續提供服務。」
