13th Annual S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation Charity Golf Tournament Raises Over 91K

13th Annual S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation Charity Golf Tournament Raises Over 91K

Richmond, BC – The 13th annual S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation Charity Golf Tournament, held at the Mayfair Lakes Golf and Country Club in Richmond today, successfully raised over $91,782 for the S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Caring for the Community Fund to help maintain and enhance services that receive no or partial government funding. These include programs for immigrants, refugees, youth, women, families and seniors.
“Since the inaugural tournament in 2005, more than $1 million has been raised to support important services and programs at S.U.C.C.E.S.S,” said Brandon Hui, chair of S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation and co-chair of the 2017 golf tournament. “We were glad to see so many corporate and individual teams come out and support this great cause. Many sponsors and companies also used this event as a way to network and engage their clients.”
More than 100 philanthropic golfers participated in this year’s event, who enjoyed 18 holes of spectacular golfing. Golfers competed for the S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Cup and other trophies, such as the longest drive, straightest drive, closest to the pin and best putting.
“We wish to thank our generous donors, sponsors, golfers, staff and volunteers who helped to make today a wonderful day,” said Linda Wong, co-chair of the tournament. “In particular, we are grateful to The Chan Family Foundation for their non-stop support over the past 13 years as our Green Fee and Power Cart Sponsor.”
