Founded in 1973 by a passionate group of immigrant volunteers who wanted to contribute back to Canada, S.U.C.C.E.S.S. has evolved into one of the largest social service agencies in Canada. We promote the well-being of all Canadians and newcomers through services and advocacy that support their integration into an inclusive society.
As a forward-thinking organization, S.U.C.C.E.S.S. leads the development of innovative programs, services, and best practices that address the evolving needs of our communities. Guided by our core values, our staff and volunteers work collaboratively to create positive community impacts.
For the last two years, we have been working with many internal and external stakeholders to refresh our vision and mission objectives so that it is better aligned to where we are as an agency, as well as to guide us in our future direction.
We are proud to share our new vision and mission statements:
A vibrant Canadian society where people thrive and contribute to inclusive communities.
S.U.C.C.E.S.S. empowers people on their Canadian journey to achieve their goals through services and advocacy that promote belonging, wellness, and independence.
In the video below, S.U.C.C.E.S.S. and S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation CEO Queenie Choo discusses the agency’s evolution and how our vision and mission refresh reflects our programs and services as they help a broader group of clients.
As part of the vision and mission refresh, our 2019-2020 Board Chair Terry Yung and Vice-Chair Phil Bates led the project’s advisory committee. In the video below, Terry and Phil share their thoughts with Canadian media personality Jim Gordon about the refreshed vision and mission, and share what they see for the future of S.U.C.C.E.S.S.
From the core of our work culture to the delivery of our services, our values serve as an integral part of what we stand for throughout our agency.
