Support Program for Internationally Trained Dentists

Our new support group for internationally-trained dentists offers assistance with study groups, exam preparation and pre-testing. This program is designed for people preparing for the three licensing examinations required by the National Dental Examining Board of Canada to practice in Canada. These exams include Assessment of Fundamental Knowledge, Assessment of Clinical Judgment and Assessment of Clinical Skills.

Support Program for Internationally Trained Dentists (ITD)

  • Assists ITDs in preparing three licensing examinations required by National Dental Examining Board of Canada (NDEB):
    • Assessment of Fundamental Knowledge (AFK)
    • Assessment of Clinical Judgement (ACJ)
    • Assessment of Clinical Skills (ACS)

Service Eligibility

  • Internationally Trained Dentists who are either a Permanent Resident or a Canadian Citizen
  • Proof of a professional credential/designation in dentistry obtained in a foreign country
  • Planning on having their dentistry credentials recognized in Canada
  • Language Level: CLB 7
