Mentoring Session: An ITD’s Journey to a Canadian Advanced Standing / Degree Completion Program

Interested in pursuing an Advanced Standing / Degree Completion Program in Canada? Join this interactive group mentoring session led by an internationally trained dentist (ITD) who successfully navigated the admissions process and is now a student in a Canadian Advanced Standing / Degree Completion Program.

What to Expect:

The mentor will share their personal journey, including:

• Reasons for deciding on the university pathway
• Studying for the ADAT
• Applying to dental schools and advanced standing / degree completion programs
• Preparing for and completing interviews and other assessments needed
• Overcoming challenges and setbacks throughout the application process

Participants will gain firsthand insight into the realities of the journey, along with practical tips, lessons learned, and strategies that helped the mentor move forward successfully.

Bring your questions and join an open conversation about the journey from an ITD to a student in a Canadian Advanced Standing / Degree Completion Program. This is a unique opportunity to learn from lived experience, gain valuable insights, and connect with others pursuing the same goal.
