Chance to Choose: A Youth Employment Program

Youth explore career pathways, enhance their employability and life skills, and achieve success in the local labour market through our 14-week integrated training and work experience program.

Services We Offer

  • Four weeks of life and employability skills training including short-term certificates such as first aid
  • Ten weeks of paid work experience
  • One-to-one coaching for job search
  • Twelve weeks of follow-up support after completing the work experience placement
  • Financial supports including training allowance

Service Eligibility

  • Legally allowed to work in Canada
  • Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or refugee status (with permanent residency and permanent SIN)
  • Between ages of 15 to 30 years (inclusive)
  • Not working or studying full-time
  • Not previously participated in a Skills Link program
