Chieng’s Adult Day Centre

Chieng’s Adult Day Centre is one of the adult day care facilities of S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Multi-Level Care Society.

The Centre is funded by Vancouver Costal Health and opened in January 2003.

Services

  • Health status monitoring, which includes monitoring of blood pressure, blood sugar level, body weight and wound dressing, etc.
  • Delicious and nutritious meals and snacks. Dietitian service is available if required.
  • Exercise group and physiotherapy service is available if required.
  • Therapeutic social and recreational activities in a protective group setting.
  • Health education and promotion, as well as caregiver support.
  • Additional services such as hairdressing are available for a fee.
  • The number of days you can attend this program is based upon your personal needs and service availability.

Facilities

  • The centre is situated on the main level of the north end of the Simon KY Lee Senior Care Home complex at 555 Carrall Street in Vancouver.
  • It is over 2,100 square feet in size and contains a lounge, activity area, kitchen, dining room, meeting room, and quiet room.

Operational Hours

Monday to Friday
9:00 am – 3:00 pm
(Closed on weekends and holidays)

Fees

$10 per visit (not including transportation fees)

Eligibility

  • Senior can be 60 years or older
  • Senior can be mobile or in wheelchair
  • Senior can be independent or requiring assistance in eating
  • Senior can have dementia but not aggressive
