41st Annual Walk with the Dragon Returns as Community Needs Grow

Vancouver, BC – S.U.C.C.E.S.S. invites the community to the 41st annual Walk with the Dragon on July 19, 2026, at Lumbermen’s Arch in Stanley Park. The fundraising walkathon will feature the iconic 100-foot golden Dragon, 3km and 7km scenic walks, multicultural performances, and family-friendly carnival activities.

As community needs grow and cost-of-living pressures continue, this year’s walk carries the theme “Stride for Every Generation”. “The theme reflects our commitment to standing beside individuals and families at every stage of life,” said S.U.C.C.E.S.S. CEO Queenie Choo. “As community needs continue to grow, the Walk is a collective act of care and a powerful expression of what we can achieve together.”

Funds raised help support essential S.U.C.C.E.S.S. programs and services, including culturally appropriate care to seniors and underfunded community programs for children, youth and families. “Our goal of raising $425,000 is not simply about a number,” said Foundation Board Chair Brandon Hui. “It is about stewarding support into programs that create lasting impact for individuals and families across generations.”

Bill Bai, Irene Hsu and Kevin Ma, Co-chairs of 2026 Walk with the Dragon invite everyone to attend the event. Corporations, schools, and families are encouraged to form teams, fundraise, or donate in support of S.U.C.C.E.S.S. programs and services. Participants will be eligible for fundraising recognition, collector t-shirts, and prize draws, including a round-trip international flight.

Affordable & Accessible Transportation

Complimentary TransLink Compass tickets will be available for registered participants travelling from select Lower Mainland communities. Complimentary shuttle service between Waterfront Station and Stanley Park will also be available on event day.
