Compensation: $2,500 (inclusive of all travel & parking expenses)

Location:  Greater Vancouver (Remote Work)

  

About the Position:

The Health Fair Coordinator coordinates and plans the annual Health Fair hosted by S.U.C.C.E.S.S. This includes planning, marketing, preparation, hosting and evaluation of the Health Fair. It will take place virtually in the form of 9 webinars that are broadcasted over the span of three Sundays.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates with S.U.C.C.E.S.S. staff who is/are assigned to liaise with the contractor
  • Creates social media page for information dissemination and event promotion
  • Promotes the event through social media posts and creating graphics for sharing on social media and chat apps
  • Coordinates paid and sponsored marketing efforts with media outlets
  • Liaises with event organizers and sponsors to gather necessary information for acknowledgement
  • Prepares and compiles slides and script for webinars
  • Prepares event survey for dissemination to visitors
  • Prepares evaluation report for event
  • Works within the budget of the event
  • Other related tasks associated with the event

  

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Post-secondary education (either ongoing or completed) in a related field
  • Experience in working with seniors and people of multicultural backgrounds
  • Knowledge in health care terminology and systems an asset

  • Second language in Cantonese and/or Mandarin and asset

  • Ability to deal effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Proficiency in the use of webinar apps and online productivity tools
  • Proficiency in managing social media platforms

   

Other Requirements:

  • Clear Criminal Record Check (submitted upon contract signing)
  • Must comply with all applicable occupational health and safety laws in relation to the performance of Contractor’s obligations under this Contract, including the Workers Compensation Act in British Columbia
  • Remote work arrangement with stable internet connection
  • Event scheduled to be hosted as webinars across 3 Sundays
