About the Position:

The Projects Coordinator works closely with a team of Business Coaches / Self-Employment Counsellors in maintaining the service quality and further developing the entrepreneurship programs. This role works extensively with a network of entrepreneurship services that supports our clients. 

Reports to: Senior Manager

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conducts out reach activities with community partners, agencies, and organizations for service collaborations 
  • Participates in program development, proposal writings, and funding applications
  • Leads Business Coaches / Self-Employment Counsellors in developing sound promotion strategies to meet program targets 
  • Organizes activities to meet program outputs and program outcomes 
  • Provides training and support to Business Coaches / Self-Employment Counsellors to perform required tasks 
  • Supports in-person and online direct client service and group facilitations 
  • Participates in business plan reviews and analyses 
  • Leads the Performance Quality Improvement(PQI) processes of projects 
  • Maintains accurate service records, statistics, and program reports 
  • Participates and contributes to agency events, meetings, and trainings 
  • Other related duties as assigned by the Senior Manager  

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related discipline
  • Related local work experience in employment and entrepreneurship is an asset
  • Experience in client case management 
  • Experience working with youth, women, and newcomers
  • Experience in writing and reviewing business plans
  • Experience in proposal and report writing
  • Knowledge of business startup in BC 
  • Knowledge of entrepreneurship ecosystems and business community resources in the Lower Mainland 
  • Knowledge of outcome-based project compensation model

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Additional languages are considered an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent presentation and public speaking skills
  • Excellent technical skills in MS Office and web-based applications
  • Ability to respond quickly to new or changing work demands
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team

 Other Requirements:

  • Criminal Record Check Required
  • Able to travel to other service locations within Greater Vancouver
  • Able to work evenings and/or weekends as required
