About the Position:

The Program Manager works with community employer partners as well as partners in other provinces, and coordinates the project to develop online employment modules for refugees oversea.

Reports to: Program Director

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains a positive and supportive relationship with community employer partners as well as other service providers
  • Liaises and works with out-of-province community partners on the project
  • Provides trainings and supports to the staff team to perform their work
  • Outreaches and markets to reach out to other service providers on the online employment modules
  • Provides guidance, support and leadership to the staff team to develop online related content for refugees overseas
  • Identifies the employment needs of the refugees overseas
  • Ensures all services meet the accreditation standards
  • Ensures the program meets the target deliverables
  • Responsible for report writing and other administration work
  • Maintains up-to-date statistical records for accountability, funding application/report and program development purposes
  • Ensures services are provided within the financial budget
  • Attends community meetings as requested by the supervisor or Program Director
  • Attends supervision and team meetings regularly
  • Attends division staff meeting/retreat and training opportunities as required
  • Works closely with staff members of other S.U.C.C.E.S.S. divisions/offices in providing joint support to individuals and families
  • Represents S.U.C.C.E.S.S. in media functions/media interviews as and when delegated by the Program Director
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by the supervisor or Program Director

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Social Science/Human Services/Business or related discipline preferred
  • 2 years’ experience working with online projects
  • Extensive knowledge about local employment resources
  • Demonstrates knowledge about the needs of refugees in relation to employment perspective
  • Demonstrates knowledge and experience on working and engaging GARs overseas

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; bi-lingual an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong ability to express complex business concept
  • Strong creativity with macro view
  • A good team player with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent program planning, time management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong web-based and social media knowledge
  • Multitasking and flexible

Other Requirements:

  • Required to travel locally around Greater Vancouver
  • Able to work weekends and evenings as required
  • Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector) Required
