A chance to choose aims to help youth overcome barriers to employment, through assessments, group based skills development and work experience with local employers. Participants will be able to choose and develop a career path.
A chance to choose targets youth such as new immigrants, single parents, and people who have various barriers or lack the experience needed to secure employment.
- 4 weeks of workshops (such as life skills workshops and employability skills workshops)
- Assessments, and skills training for enhance participants’ employability
- 10 weeks of work experience with an employer
- Participants who enrolled in this 14-week program will be paid $10.85 per hour for 30 hours per week.
