Burnaby Meals on Wheels Society

S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Simon K.Y. Lee Seniors Care Home has been preparing the meals for the Chinese Meals on Wheels (CMOW) since October 2003. Ever since, meal orders had increased from 30 to 200 meals per day.

Due to increasing demands from the Burnaby residents for the Chinese Meals on Wheels service, the S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Simon K.Y. Lee Seniors Care Home and a group of volunteers initiated the service to Burnaby in September 2004. It is becoming well known to the community and we receive many meal order requests from residents all over the Burnaby area. In order to meet the needs of all residents in Burnaby area, effective from June 11, 2007, S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Simon K.Y. Lee Seniors Care home in partnership with the Burnaby Meals on Wheels Society will provide Chinese hot meals to residents living in the city of Burnaby. The Care Home will prepare Chinese hot meals and have a Chinese speaking volunteer to receive applications and meal orders between 9:30 am to 12:30 pm Monday to Friday by phone. The Burnaby Meals on Wheels Society will coordinate the volunteers to deliver meals to the recipients.
